The new numbers from The Lake City Board of Realtors have come out comparing the Month of July 2013 to the month of July 2012. In July of 2013 there was 65 real estate closings to 35 closings in July 2012. That is an increase of 85.7%. Also,the real estate that was closed, that paid in cash was up from 20 in July 2012 to 38 in July 2013. The new pending sales was 71 for July 2013, with only 49 in July 2012.
The sellers seem to be seeing these numbers as there was more new listing in July 2013. The increase was up 43.5% and the average sales price went up from $105,214 to $127,243. The median days on the market for Lake City FL real estate went down slightly from 78 to 74. Also, the listing fell from 722 to 688.
Real estate in Lake City FL and surrounding areas, is better than what it was, but it to me still seems slow. I am seeing more lookers out there, but good ready to buy, buyers are still hard to find.
